Making glasses

The Institute according to the recipes of ophthalmologists produces combined sphero-cylinder-prismatic lenses and glasses with such lenses.

 Combined lenses and glasses are made individually according to a special recipe, the shape of which was developed by the specialists of the Kyiv City Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital "Eye Microsurgery Center"

Considering that combined lenses are prescribed mainly for the correction of strabismus of children that lead active lifestyles, engage in active sports, often play with items that are potentially dangerous to the eye, glasses based on fragile mineral glass lenses can themselves be a source of additional danger.

Therefore, for the manufacture of combined sphero-prismatic lenses refractive lenses from polymeric materials are used.

In the developed combined lenses, the microprism element is hermetically connected to the surface of standard spherical and astigmatic plastic lenses with a diameter of 65-70 mm.

 The range of prismatic strength of such lenses is from 0.5 to 30.0 prism diopters, the optical power of the spherical component varies from - 6.0 to + 4.0 diopters with a step of 0.25 diopters, the cylindrical component stands up to 2.5 diopters
